8 track cartridges were first released in 1964 and were fully replaced by the cassette tape by 1980 though some retailers continued to carry them throughout the 1980s.

LENGTHS
The recording time of 8 tracks were limited to 80 minutes.

WE DO NOT TRANSFER 8 TRACK AUDIO REELS.
These were commonly used by musicians. We do not transfer these reels.

I STILL HAVE MY PLAYER AND MY TAPE IS NOT PLAYING WELL. DOES THAT MEAN I’S NOT WORTH TRANSFERRING?
Not necessarily. Remember that most of these tapes and units are well past their prime. If you pulled out an old player that has not been maintained in years or even decades, the playback device itself could be the problem. We have gotten tapes in that would not play for a customer but played well for us because our devices are well maintained.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
* We do not separate tracks or type titles. Tapes will be numbered and will have a file that says that number.
* Includes 320k MP3 Files. WAV or other file formats available at higher quote. ASK.
* We do not  refund any tapes unreadable due to poor condition.
